VCL Host
Harness the Power of Datakit II VCS or BNS-2000 VCS
with Your Sun Solaris Systems
If you're using Lucent Technologies' Datakit II VCS or BNS-2000 VCS
data networking products and Sun Solaris systems (Ultra, SPARC or X86),
then you need PACLABS VCL Host to get the most out of your investment.
PACLABS VCL (Virtual Circuit LAN) Host is used in mission-critical environments
worldwide, providing all the features necessary to optimize the use
of the network. With all the benefits of CommKit, plus TCP/IP, Telnet,
and printer support, PACLABS VCL Host can help integrate your LANs with
your Datakit II or BNS-2000 network.
Power, Performance and Reliability
PACLABS VCL Host is a fully integrated hardware/software package that
creates a high-speed, fiber optic link from Sun Solaris systems to Datakit
II or BNS-2000 switches.
The latest release adds the power and performance of PCI-based systems
to the existing SBus and ISA products. So now you can match the Solaris
system to the application, or migrate existing applications to the latest
hardware platforms.
PACLABS VCL Client-Server Architecture
PACLABS VCL Host connectivity to Datakit II or BNS-2000 data networking
products and leverages your investment in Ethernet LANs and TCP/IP-based
systems.
The PACLABS VCL product line is the only client-server implementation
available today for the Datakit product family. Add-on PACLABS VCL products
VCL Dest and VCL rDest add additional TCP/IP LAN to Datakit WAN and
WAN to LAN functionality.
